Exciting News Part One: Hachette Contract

We are excited to announce that we have signed a two book contract with Hachette for Beautiful Night (2021) and an untitled manuscript (2022).

Special thanks to our editor and writing mentor Shel Sweeney from A Worded Life and our agent Alex Adsett.

We look forward to working with Kate Stevens and the Hachette team to bring these stories to life.

These books will be our first picture books published traditionally so we are really excited for the journey. The process will look a little something like this:

We wrote the manuscripts in June 2019.
We edited with Shel Sweeney from A Worded Life in July 2019.
We submitted to our agent Alex Adsett in August 2019.
We received an offer from Hachette in December 2019.
We signed the contract in February 2020.
We will work with Hachette and an illustrator to edit and finalise the book throughout 2020.
Hachette schedules the book for a release date and organises the behind the scenes promotions.
And finally the book will go to print in 2021.
We will do promotions, school Skypes and library events. Hachette might enter our book into a few awards.
And then we write some more!
